I am in the military and use my CAC to log into military sites and digitally sign documents. I read somewhere that all the architecture for a CAC reader is already embedded on a Mac but I can't seem to make it work. I love my Mac and would really like to be able to do EVERYTHING on it instead of having to revert to Windows for certain things. I have seen Macs being used in the workplace in the Army while using a CAC reader and card, but no one has been able to tell me how it was done. If anyone has any advice or can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

I have not tried the reader posted earlier, but the one I bought works for Mac OS 10.11. If I can find it, I will link it later. According to the reviews of the one that was posted above, most people have had success using it on Macs, while others had issues.

Hey there,

Cac Reader For Macbook

I've been using your guys product since v. 1.3 on OS X 10.9 Mavericks in 2013 and have never had any issues. It's always worked perfectly with my old MacBook Pro, SCR3500 reader, and every version of PKard up to 1.7.

I upgraded last year to a 2017 MacBook Pro and just got a new ACS USB-C reader (ACR39U-NF) and am having some weird issues on the dev release of Mojave. I know you're probably working on support for Mojave and was just wondering if you've run into these issues, if it might be a bug, or if I'm doing something wrong.
After running the PKard Assistant I am able to see my PIV Card in my Keychain Access, but for some reason I can only see my old keys/certs (-A for Authentication, -E for Encryption, and -S for Signature) that expired back in February, but not the new ones that were generated and put on the card when the old ones expired. I know I have two sets of keys/certs (old expired -A, -E, -S and current ones) on my PIV Card since I use it every day at work to login and sign docs, but can't figure out how to see them or make them visible at home on my Mac.
If you've come across this issue before, any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. If you haven't come across it yet or if I've found a bug, I'd be glad to share any info with your dev team they might need or want.
